Sustainability Award 2012
In the year of its 140th anniversary and for the third time in succession BOKU university receives a Sustainability Award. This year’s winner is the “Doctoral School for Sustainable Development”.

BILLA und BOKU start a study project about improved animal husbandry
The University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU) and the supermarket chain BILLA start a joint study project, in which possibilities for a sustainable improvement of conventional pig production are examined.

Start of the Doctoral School for Sustainable Development
In October 2011 the second three-year round of dokNE was launched. Within eleven research projects an interdisciplinary and international team of PhD students, a post-doc and supervisors will focus on sustainability strategies.
